Today there is a growing demand on natural fibres respectful of our environment.

LINEN  is the only fibre that fits  this demand on sustainable development : free of any polluting industrial or agricultural process, linen is the most natural fibre of all.

safilin is solely using linen fibres coming from a controlled European farming. These fibres, naturally comfortable and with excellent hygienic properties, can receive a simple treatment or high-quality finishing, to give them a sophisticated and refined look. Linen can be then used in a wide range of new applications far beyond its traditional use.

 For several seasons already,  safilin has anticipated these trends and we produce  thinner and thinner PURE LINEN YARNS, for weaving and KNITTING,  in our European plants. This has been made possible thanks to the enhancement of our production process and huge investments in efficient tools.

Many distributors are already using and enjoying the quality of safilin yarns.

To follow the "environmental route" we took a couple of years ago, safilin  keeps on developing new products , improving and adapting blends with LINEN short fibres issued from recycling in our own mills located in France :

 Today we are proud to offer A SPECIFIC RANGE OF KNITTING YARNS in 6 standard blends : COTTON/LINEN, VISCOSE/LINEN, MODAL/LINEN, BAMBOO/LINEN, ACRYLIC/LINEN, TENCEL/LINEN;

TRIAL QUANTITIES OF THOSE YARNS ARE AVAILABLE for CIRCULAR OR FLAT BED KNITTING. 

These blends are still available, of course, for warp and weft WEAVING.
