The high quality raw materials are produced along the coast from Caen in France to Rotterdam in the Netherlands:

  • 85 % of linen is produced in France,
  • 10 % in Belgium,
  • 5 % in the Netherlands.

The other countries producing raw materials do not benefit of the temperate climate that linen needs. Flax grows best in France and thus the fibres get stronger. The regular alternance of rain and sun in summer enables good retting, while the moderate rains in September and October allow to gather fibres in good conditions.

has its headquarters and two mills in this linen area, in the center of the flax producing area.

Thus, we can easily select the best fibres for supplying our customers with a standard quality perfectly adequate for weaving or knitting conditions.
